I was struck by the contrast of how different the experience could be while I strolled over the day exploration at nights. Urban structures are something that inspire me a lot! I like to get lost in the corridors, experience the chaos, find personal paths and collect my own signposts. In this case markable Cobalt blue neon signs and warm night lights brightened the surroundings, bringing to my attention many levels of colors in the dark hues which I then transferred to the canvas.

While exploring Hsinchu, I was fascinated by the vibrant organicity of its nature. I was overwhelmed by the density of signage on the streets, surprised how organically temples mix with stores, restaurants and markets, and how history meets the modern. Walking around the city, I felt like I was an ant in an anthill - naturally organized, simultaneously chaotic. In this canvas, I was inspired by a variety of city colors - vibrant primary, secondary palette and subdued pastels. Combining them intuitively was certainly a challenge!
