策展實績 > 日腺 day Gland

當今藝術的發展日新月異,藝術已經不再以單純形式創作視為定義。《日腺》希望透過藝術家對於日常生活的觀察和感知,利用收集、書寫、錄製、描繪等方式進行創作去體現日常生活中的情感、甚至是感官記憶。人類在遇到緊急情況時,會刺激腎上腺素的分泌,創作者在面對創作瓶頸時,是否也會刺激某種腺體的分泌、激發出自身的潛能?如同腺體每日分泌激素並代謝的過程,漸進式的積累並釋放能量。

同時作品也從不同面相對於每日的生活提出質疑,究竟這樣的不安或者舒適是不是我們生活所期望或想逃避的,透過創作又能夠為生活帶來何種面貌的改變?

這樣的紀錄可以是檔案式的呈現,也可能是利用展覽的方式探討更多的可能與方向,或可能透過擬敘事的方式去構建一個虛擬日常情境下的藝術發現。《日腺》以日常勞動或日常經驗為靈感出發,集結編織、收集、氣味傳播、平面繪畫等作品,來回應創作者時下面對的日常能否以美學的闡述讓觀者能夠與之交流。


As contemporary art develops rapidly, creations cannot be classified by traditional categories. In the exhibition Day Gland, the artists try to display their daily emotions and memories through collecting, recording and portraying their observations and feelings of daily life. Human beings secrete Adrenaline when encountering emergency. Would artists’ glands secrete certain hormone to stimulate them when they encounter obstacles in creating? Would the accumulated hormone release energy like hormone works in human’s metabolism system?

The artists also try to know if daily anxieties and comforts are what they expect or avoid, and what changes could creations bring to their daily life.

Inspired by daily activities and experience, they simulate a daily environment in the exhibition Day Gland by gathering woven materials, smells, paintings, etc., interacting with the audiences through artworks on daily life.
